After receiving laser treatment for shingles, it is important to take care of your skin and avoid exposing it to the sun. The laser treatment will usually cause the top layer of your skin to peel off. This process can take up to two weeks. During this time, you should avoid using any harsh soaps or cleansers on your skin. Instead, use a gentle soap and avoid scrubbing your skin.
You may also experience some redness and swelling after the treatment. This is normal and should resolve within a few days. It is important to keep the area clean and dry during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, be sure to follow up with your doctor.
